GENIUS GIRLS EMPOWERING MOVEMENT · GHANA
Genius Girls Empowering Movement (GGEM) equips young women and girls across Ghana with leadership, education, mentorship, and life opportunities.
Our Slogan
The GGEM approach
At GGEM, we believe that empowerment should move from awareness to action. Our goal is not simply to inspire a girl for one day, but to give her the knowledge, confidence, and support to make better choices, recognize her potential, and become a positive influence in her community.
EDUCATION → EMPOWERMENT → MENTORSHIP → COMMUNITY ACTION → IMPACT
Our flagship programme
The GGEM School Tour takes mentorship, education, health awareness, and personal development directly to basic schools within underserved and rural communities across Ghana that have limited access to such opportunities.

School Mentorship Tour
The career guidance and menstrual hygiene sessions brought by the movement completely transformed our basic school girls' confidence. Having professional female role models speak directly to them made an immediate impact on their aspirations.
Maternal Support Campaign
GGEM's timely intervention at our maternal ward brought immense relief. By directly supporting expectant mothers with their medical bills and essential care items, they provided critical relief when it was needed most.
Community Health Screening
Providing free cervical cancer awareness and screenings right in the heart of the market was life-saving for many of our traders. They made health education accessible, respectful, and deeply empowering.
Internal Member Network
What started as a simple WhatsApp group has become an incredible family of change-makers. Volunteering on these regional tours has allowed me to sharpen my leadership skills while creating real, lasting change for younger girls across Ghana.
